If you expect people to talk to you online, for God’s sake fill out your profile!!
Putting up a pic in your profile that has nothing to do with you (a unicorn, a demon, etc) is very annoying to those of us who just waited 30 seconds for the “picture of you” to load.
Fighting/arguing with other people just shows the world what a pathetic crotch monkey you are. IT’S THE FUCKING INTERNET FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.
If you send out a link, many people will assume that you’re a porn bot, and will ignore you. Some programs will automatically ignore you the second you send a link.
If you don’t want people to know who you are, use an anonymous name. Megan_Smith_26534 is not an anonymous name. This tells people your full name and where you live. This also screams “Hey everybody, I have no idea what the hell I’m doing!!!”
If you really want people to talk to you, SAY SOMETHING. Say hello to everyone, comment on the weather, ask what people are up to, etc etc. Or try to join in on a conversation. Hanging around like a tumor will make people forget that you’re there.
Sending the same message over and over again is a great way to get people to ignore you. For example:

This will not get you attention, it will get you IGNORED.
